EMRA Mallory Park 30 September

Tom Weeden has another race win to his name after the round at Mallory Park this weekend. Prior to this race he was running 2nd overall and couldn’t be caught but it was also impossible to take 1st because he missed 2 rounds due to them clashing with the Acu Motostars. So he’s got a definite 2nd place in the championship.
They arrived early and even managed to get some electric hook up before everyone else took it.
He went out in practice and went well considering he hadn’t been there in a few months. His gearing was a little bit wrong and he needed to drop the back sprocket 1 tooth.
In the 1st race this made a big difference going down the straight and coming out of Gerrards.
Tom got an excellent start and beat quite a few of the 125’s off of the line. He was really aggressive into Gerrards and cut passed a few 125’s going into it. Ed Rendell was hot on his heels but couldn’t keep the pace and dropped off quite a bit. Tom cruised round and got 1st place.
In the second race Tom got off to another excellent start and he pulled ahead of his group, Ed however managed to get closer to Tom this time and took the opening when a 125 put Tom on the grass Tom managed to stay upright but was to far behind to catch Ed and had to settle for 2nd.
Tom enjoyed the weekend greatly and was overjoyed that the heavens refrained from raining! The 1st for him at Mallory this year.
